About PROVE

Progressive's Policy Retrieval and Online Verification Engine (PROVE) is a free Web site designed especially for lenders and those who track insurance coverage for financed and leased vehicles. PROVE allows lenders and trackers to easily verify coverage on vehicles online, and to obtain printed documentation when needed. You can find PROVE at www.provelp.com.

Web site availability

PROVE (www.provelp.com) is typically available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day with the following exceptions:

  • Midnight Saturday through 8 AM on Sunday
  • Nightly from approximately 2 – 4 AM

Technical support

Progressive's Support Center Vendor Team is available to help with any questions or problems you may encounter such as:

  • Password and ID resets
  • Questions about system availability
  • Questions about system functionality

You can reach the Progressive Support Center Vendor Team by phone at 1-888-678-7885.

If you have questions regarding a specific vehicle or policy, or the information displayed in PROVE, they should be directed to Progressive Policy Services at 1-800-888-7764. The Support Center is not able to answer these types of questions.

Customer service

If you need help with policy issues, Customer Service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week toll free at 1-800-888-7764.

Registering for PROVE

You can create an account in order to access PROVE features.

Logging in to PROVE

Go to www.provelp.com.Enter your user ID and password. Click "Log in."

Selecting a new password

When you log in for the first time, and every 120 days after, you must update your password. Your new password must:

  • Be at least 8 characters long
  • Have at least one upper case letter
  • Have at least one lower case letter
  • Have at least one number
  • Have at least one symbol (acceptable symbols are !, @, #, $, %, ^, &, *)

Selecting shared secrets

When you log in for the first time, you must provide answers to shared secret questions that help confirm your identity if you forget your password. To do so:

  1. Choose two different questions from the drop down menus. You may only use letters, numbers and spaces in your answers.
  2. Provide answers you will remember. You can only use letters, numbers and spaces in your answers.

Acknowledging the User Agreement

When you log in for the first time, and every 120 days after, you must read and acknowledge the User Agreement. To do so:

  1. Read the information in detail.
  2. Click either the "I agree" button or the “I don’t agree” button. If you select the second button, you will be rerouted to the login page.

Getting a forgotten user ID

For assistance with a forgotten user ID, call Technical Support at 1-888-678-7885.

Getting a forgotten password

  1. Click the "Forgot your password?" link at the bottom of the login page.
  2. Enter your user ID and click the "Continue" button.
  3. Give the answers you chose for your two shared secret questions. The answers to these questions confirm your identity.
  4. Click the "Continue" button.
  5. Select a new password. Your new password must:
    • Be at least 8 characters long
    • Have at least one upper case letter
    • Have at least one lower case letter
    • Have at least one number
    • Have at least one symbol (acceptable symbols are !, @, #, $, %, ^, &, *)
  6. Verify the new password in the following field
  7. Your password has been reset. Click the “login to PROVE” link to login to the site

Changing your password

  1. Log in to PROVE
  2. On the Vehicle Lookup screen, click "Update Your User Profile"
  3. On the next screen, select "Change Your Password"
  4. Select a new password. Your new password must:
    • Be at least 8 characters long
    • Have at least one upper case letter
    • Have at least one lower case letter
    • Have at least one number
    • Have at least one symbol (acceptable symbols are !, @, #, $, %, ^, &, *)
  5. Verify the new password in the following field
  6. Click the "Submit" button to save your changes

Changing your shared secrets

  1. Login to PROVE
  2. On the Vehicle Lookup screen, click "Update Your User Profile"
  3. On the next screen, click "Change Your Shared Secrets"
  4. Select two different questions from the drop down menus and provide answers you will easily remember. You may only use letters, numbers and spaces in your answers.
  5. Click the "Submit" button to save your changes

Vehicle Lookup / Search

  1. Log in to PROVE
  2. On the Vehicle Lookup screen, enter the following information for the vehicle you are researching:
    • The policy number
    • Last four digits of the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
  3. Click on the button labeled "Lookup." You will then see the Policy Summary Page.
